Learn the Benefits of Meditation

Some of us are baffled on how exactly to meditate. Or we think we don’t have time in our day to meditate. Or we don’t know why or even if the time we might spend meditating has benefits.

Basic meditation is quite easy. Find a place where you won’t be disturbed for at least 10 minutes. Twenty minutes is ideal but if you only have 10 then go with it. This “place” could be a comfortable chair, couch, or a special place in your home that is quiet and tranquil. But don’t be limited to your home. You can meditate in a garden, sitting under a favorite tree, or even your car at lunch time.

Recently 60 Minutes ran a show on the epidemic of heroin addiction in and around Columbus, Ohio. Yes, Columbus, Ohio!! Attorney General of the state Mike Dewine was interviewed on 60 Minutes and stated that heroin use has infiltrated every community in the state. The Mexican cartels have found ways to get their drugs into the hands of every man, woman and child. This is unacceptable. I was and am in shock. I learned through watching that the use of heroin often starts with pain. It could be from an injury or chronic illness.

Client Comes for Wellness Check

What are you seeking with energy therapy?  To feel better?  To have less pain?To release stress? To feel more alive and energetic? To be happy? To feel a spiritual connection?  Sometimes what we need is not anything we’ve thought about or wanted.  A case in point:

A client came in for what he thought was a wellness check.  “Don” said that he usually feels, “pretty good” but this week not so much.  He said his head was “foggy” and he was experiencing fatigue with headache.  He had no energy and didn’t know what was going on.  He seemed a bit worried about it too. Friends had even noticed that he didn’t seem himself.  The good news was that Don wasn’t in any pain physically.

Healing Touch Energy Therapy at “Lunch and Learn.”

I recently gave an Introduction to Healing Touch Energy Therapy Class at a nearby hospital as a part of the “Lunch and Learn” series.  Most of the people didn’t know too much about Healing Touch but were very interested in finding out information and doing the “hands on” practice.  So I began by telling one of many compelling stories about my experiences with awesome energy therapy.  Everyone was very attentive. Then, I talked about what Healing Touch is and how it is very much aligned with allopathic medicine.
